In celebration of the CDE Center’s Literacy Month, CDE has lined up a number of special activities (i.e., book fair, storytelling sessions) to help children develop their love for reading and learning this October. The activities will culminate in the CDE Center pupils’ presentation of a short play based on the classic novel The Wizard of Oz at the Dizon Auditorium on October 21(Friday) at 10:00 am.
After the play, the children will dress up to portray their favorite book characters in the “Book Character Parade” around the UA&P Campus.
Everyone is invited to watch the play and/or give candy treats during the parade at 11:00 am to 11:30 am. Similar to previous year’s Multicultural Day Parade, CDE will set up three station areas (see below) for the distribution of candies, biscuits, and other goodies:
- Station 1: ALB Lobby – LIB, EO, HRM, OAA, CCO, PIA, Chaplaincy, AFM, CFA, and DEV
- Station 2: CAS Ledge – FMR, SSE, SCM, CSA, REG
- Station 3: Promenade A – CAS, SED, SLG, CSR, ICT, SMN, SEC, CRC, ADM, and QAO
UA&P Drumline will usher the children during the parade.
