As part of the University’s wellness program, free flu vaccinations will be given to regular employees at the UA&P Clinic on June 30 (Thursday) for women and July 1 (Friday) for men from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. The procedures will be administered on a first come, first served basis.
To facilitate the administration of the flu vaccine, employees are requested to wear short-sleeved shirts or blouses. The vaccine will be injected into the deltoid muscle on the upper arm near the shoulders. Some may experience soreness or pain on the injection site but this is generally well-tolerated. If it persists for more than 24 hours, it can be managed by a simple warm compress. Those with fever (38 degrees centigrade and up) and those who have allergic reactions to egg and chicken cannot be vaccinated.
To help determine the headcount, those interested should contact HRM at 637-0912 to 26 locals 337 or 266 by June 27 (Monday).
